Although we have known this for a few weeks now, I have been super lazy about updating the blog. So here it is, Baby Girl Wells, has a name and it is (drum roll please) Lucy Abigail Wells! We are so excited to meet her, I hope she doesn't give her mommy too hard of a time! Can't wait to hold you and spoil you and do all of the wonderful Auntie things I will get to do! Good work Mike and Ali, such a cute name!

On yet another photo shoot, BGW is definitely proving to her family that she is quite a ham. The US tech caught her kicking mommy with her tiny feet, in a somewhat creepy and yam the most adorable thing ever: sucking her thumb. This proves that we are related, I sucked my thumb for a LONG time. We can't wait to meet you little one, but take it easy on your mommy in there!

I Have a New Job

So, while working for the Air Force was great, the drive was not. I started working for Canto Home Solutions last week and so far I LOVE IT! I have been really busy, which is great for me, I hate waiting around for things to happen. We are a remodeling, plumbing, AC, repair, landscaping company...we basically do it all. If you are local, please consider us if you are planning on remodeling any part of your home, doing some landscaping or have anything you need done around your house.

Ali and Mike are very happy to announce that they will be having a BABY GIRL in January! Personally, I am so excited to finally be an auntie, and to a little girl no less! We are all really exited to welcome the little pink bundle of joy in late January. Trust me girl, you are going to be the best-dressed most love little girl in the whole world! Alex and I went to Boston for Mike and Ali's wedding July 8th-14th. We spent the first few days helping to get the wedding all set up, the wedding day beautifying and the next few days relaxing. We went to a Red Sox game with Sbardy and Mr. Gleason and the seats were amazing. The next day we went down to Mattapoisett to see the renovations. We couldn't believe the changes that have happened so far. At first, I was a little sad to see our lifetime getaway house so changed, but i quickly became excited at the prospect of a bigger house for our ever-expanding family. That night we had dinner with some of my Dad's family and had a great time at The Back Eddy, one of our favs.

The Garden: Week 3

There has been some amazing growth in the garden! The basil poked through, the radishes are going nuts and the bulbs have finally pushed through. The cantaloupe and eggplant are coming along nicely, but no buds yet. There are even little baby tomatoes growing, they are so cute! We are having so much fun checking the plants every day and watching it grow. Keep checking back for new "fruit of our labor!"

The Weekend

This weekend, Alex built us a great big planter box that holds 32 cubic feet of soil...basically, it's huge. We are planting tomatoes, onions, radishes, jalapenos, basil, peppers and some flowers. We were totally inspired by our friend Missy who is always giving us treats from her garden and we decided to try it out. I will keep you posted on our progress and just say a little prayer that I don't have a black thumb in the garden.

Saturday was the first home playoffs game fo rthe Cardinals in 60 years, so we had to go! We had a great time with Mike and Katie and totally crashed the second we got home. We were literally 3 rows from the top, but still had great seats.

Last Saturday was the annual xmas party and everyone had such a great time. Almost all of our friends who could, made it and we loved seeing everybody. They all brought toys and I am delivering them tomorrow. Thanks everyone!

I have recently become complete obsessed with this website called http://www.etsy.com/ . Everything on the site is handmade and the variety is amazing. You can literally find anything. I got Jessie a really cool necklace for her birthday, me and my cousin "letters" of our new last names and even a really cool fabric cover for my Cuisinart mixer. Almost anything you want, you can find it. The picture above is a banner a local etsy seller made and sent me. Her name is Melody and her shop is called A Jewel in my Crown, it is awesome and she does any banner custom, just for you! I basically love this site and urge all of you to take a look.

Hi everyone...long time, no blog. Well, it has been a tough week for us here in Scottsdale. Working for a home builder in this tough economy, well, it was bound to happen. I was laid off on Monday, but immediately hit the web and have applied for so many jobs I can't even count. I know something will come soon, I think I already have something part-time, so that is good for now. Anyway, I meant to post these pics of the dogs on Halloween a few days ago, but better late than never. Beans was a lobster and Rocks was a Samurai, or a chef from Benihana (it is really hard to find costumes for big dogs). Enjoy and send any job leads my way, hee hee!!!

As you might know, my dad owns a condo (right across the street from our house :)) and I manage it for him since he is so far away. For the last three years or so we had some really steady tenants, but our last one is a doctor and had to move to New Mexico. We were sad to see him go, but he had to. After sitting empty for a few weeks, Rich was starting to get nervous and so was I. But, today I finally got an email from a nice young lady in Chandler looking to move in immediately. I met her, she is super and moves in Saturday. This is mom and dad happy to not pay 2 mortgages...

At Fenway Park 2004

Since my family is from Massachusetts, we are all huge Red Sox fans. Imagine my surprise to find out that Alex is an equally large fan! When they won the world series a few years back, my dad was obsessed and gave everyone RS paraphernalia for Christmas. They are kicking some serious tail this year and we are so excited that we may have another championship this year. Tomorrow night is game one of the new series against Tampa Bay (8:37 Pm EST). I think we will teach those Rays a few lessons in baseball, but I don't want to jinx it. We will be with some friends tomorrow night all cheering for those "Bunch of Idiots." GO SOX!!!

1 MONTH ANNIVERSARY

Wow, I can't believe it has been a whole month since the wedding. It seems like time has just flown by. Really, it was just yesterday that we were all hanging out in Newport waiting for the rain to pass on the porch of the MS Inn. The lobsters, beer, friends and laughs are a wonderful group of memories I know neither of us will every forget. It truly was the best weekend of both of our lives, we couldn't have asked for anything more.

Thank you again to all of our friends and family who have supported us throughout the years. You have meant the world to us ans we love you very much. Thank you to everyone who could make it to the wedding. To everyone who couldn't, you were there in our hearts and minds.

I was working on the West side of town a few months ago and came across this scraggly unkempt little animal. Upon further inspection I found a tiny little dog who wanted me to hold her. I picked her up and could barely see her face her hair was so long and matted. She was dirty and didn't have a collar. I had to take her home, but had no idea what to do with her. I immediately called the vet, Dr. B, and he told me to bring her right in. They examined her and, while really under-weight, was overall healthy. They gave her some vaccines and I swept her off to the groomer. They had to shave her, her hair was so bad, but when I picked her up I could see what she actually looked like. We determined that she was a Shi-Tzu and really underweight. I knew exactly what to do with her since I knew Alex would say no to another dog. I called my friend Sarah and told her all about her and that I was bringing her to her work so she could meet her. Reluctantly, Sarah decided to take her home and see how it went. I knew it! She loved her and decided to keep her. She has been with Sarah for the last few months and you can tell she is a very happy and healthy dog. Zelda has gained weight and you can actually see her face. I see her all of the time and she is adorable. her mommy takes wonderful care of her and they have become great friends. Here she is already for Halloween.

So I have been sick since the first day of our honeymoon. I have some weird drawn out cold, but I vowed to not let it hold me back from doing anything fun. I tried my best to keep Alex going, he is not a sitter:) However, since I have been sick and just kind of sitting around lately, I have had a lot of time to think.

All of out friends said that at our wedding that they had never seen either of us happier. It's true, I have never been happier. I honestly didn't think that anything was going to change after the wedding. Our relationship has always been strong and we have lived together for four years, but something seems different. I have never felt more secure with Alex than I have the last two and a half weeks. We don't get to do the newlywed stuff like buying a house, because we already have one, or get our first pet, we already have two. We did all of this before we actually got married, but still wouldn't change a thing. We do, however, just get to sit back, relax and enjoy married life.

I think we are both so happy and lucky to have found each other. Even though Alex seems serious, no one has ever made me laugh more. He is a wonderful husband who takes care of our house, our dogs, and me. I couldn't ask for anything more and I wish the same happiness for everyone I know.

It is so exciting to look ahead into the future and see our children and imagine what they are going to be like. We aren't in any hurry to have kids, but when the time is right, it will be right. Thank you too all of our family and friends who have supported and loved us throughout these past few years, we love you all very much.

We are off to Cabo tomorrow for our honeymoon. Everyone has given us great restaurant suggestions and places to visit and we could not be more excited. I feel like we will finally have some much needed quality time alone together as husband and wife. Wow, that is weird. Signing Megan Ross, is even weirder, but I am getting used to it. I digress, but anyway we won't have any phone or email (hooray), so I will check in when we get back!!!

They are working very hard to get the pics up, but they took over 2000, so this is a big task. She sent me a few just to tease me, but they are wonderful and I can't wait to see the rest.

Honeymoon

So A and I and are honeymooning in San Jose Del Cabo (just North of Cabo San Lucas) and we are so excited. Our friends Beth and Steve Levich offered us their timeshare at the Grand Mayan http://www.grupomayan.com/sp/the-grand-mayan/los-cabos/index.html to enjoy and we are so excited. This will be our first vacation alone together since Costa Rica in almost four years. We really want to spend some time together to just enjoying being married. Please feel free to check out the resort and send us bottles of champagne and strawberries (just kidding), but we will be celebrating our life together for the whole time and loving it. I am sure Rocks and Beans will miss us, but they are very excited that mommy and daddy are official.

Ladies and Gentlemen, let me introduce to you: Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Ross!!!

We just got back from Boston last night and we are exhausted and looking back on the greatest week of both of our lives. The wedding was absolutely beautiful and perfect. We were a little worried on Saturday when Hurricane Hannah rolled in, but Sunday morning met us with clear skies and sunshine. The weather was incredible and the ceremony was even better. We said our vows and then partied hard. I can't believe not a single thing went awry. Alex even said that is was better than he ever could have imagined. We are so happy and cannot wait for the honeymoon in Cabo! I will post the pictage site when it becomes available, I can't wait to see it.

Well, we are headed to the East Coast today. Our wonderful friend Kevin is taking care of the kids and we are hitting the dusty trail. So many emotions are happening right now, but mostly disbelief that this day has finally arrived. About a month or two ago, my brother finally popped the question to his long time girlfriend Ali. I think I speak for all of our friend and family when I say that none of us could be happier for the two of them. They are truly two peas in a pod and compliment each other very well. Will keep you posted on the wedding date, they are still deciding. We love you guys very much and are super excited to do another wedding!

Married and More With Michelle

I met my friend Michelle in 2000 at our first year together at USD. We were both transfers, Juniors and didn't know a single soul in San Diego. We met in our Wild Women in Literature class and have been great friends ever since. We practically lived together for a year until she moved back to Seattle to finish school and be with her now wonderful husband Drew. Since she graduated from college, she has worked for some companies, but never really found anything that she felt passionately about. Well, she finally found her niche in wedding and special event planning. Her weddings have been featured in many Seattle blogs, newspapers and national blogs. She can be found on The Knot and many local Seattle publishings. I think she is one of the most organized and talented people I have ever met. She has done so much for us for our wedding from designing and making our programs, to being a great bridesmaid to calling all of my vendors to make sure they show up on time. Getting it Together

As the wedding day grows nearer, my cell phone has been ringing off the hook. So much so today that my phone actually died right in the middle of a conference call with the photographer. Sorry Karen and Michelle! Well, the wedding is at a gorgeous location called the Glen Manor House in Portsmouth, RI. I called the town of Portsmouth yesterday just to make sure we had everything we needed for our marriage license...well, it was a close one. We had to have "state issued" copies of our birth certificates. After minor hyperventilating, Alex ran home and made sure that is actually what we had. Success! Things really are coming together, it seems so surreal and perfect all at the same time. We ca't wait to share this special day with everyone we love!

The big day is almost here and we are so excited. My dress finally made it back to my parent's house, the rings are bought and the caterer is on standby. I know we have put a lot of work into the actual planning and all ofteh details of the wedding, but really, the most important thing is that we are finally officially becoming one family. We already have a house and two dogs, who bring more into our lives than I could ever imagine of any animal, but there has been something missing. I can't wait to confirm our love for each other in front our family and friends. We really do love each other, he is my best friend and confidant. This is absolutely a dream come true.
